Story and Review:
Aangan is the story of a Punjabi household headed by Mian Ji and his wife.
Mian Ji has four sons. Sajjad, who works at the factory.
He is married to Mian Ji’s wife’s brother’s daughter, Hajra. Hajra is the senior bahu of the house and much wiser than everyone else, though she is prone to some of the typical arguments. Hajra has two children, a son and a daughter.
Her younger daughter is very pretty and is kept out of sight for when proposals come for Zoya, Mian Ji’s youngest daughter, who is supposed to be plain looking. Mian Ji’s another son lives in Germany with his wife and kids and his other son, Zahid, doesn’t work and has turned to religion. He is married to Rubina who is Mian Ji’s wife’s sister’s daughter. Zahid and Rubina have a lot of kids and there’s one more kid on the way.
Asim is another one of Mian Ji’s sons who has refused to marry in the family and has married the girl he has liked, Laila. Laila is educated and does not have any children. She isn’t allowed to work and this depresses her.

Mian Ji also has a daughter, Anila who is married to Alauddin. They have children and Anila and Alauddin mostly create fusses and ruckuses.
The story begins in a proposal situation for Zoya where a lady praises Mian Ji’s wife for holding the family together. How much would it cost to replace a driver side window.
Little does she know that all this family mainly does is squabble and fight over petty issues. Eventually this proposal will not work out and the family will continue to worry about Zoya’s age and future.
Zoya is quiet and diligent but she has a secret passion which is to write novels and stories.
The few issues that Aangan may have had are:
Here’s what is super positive about Aangan.
So overall, for the fun dialog and comical situations, for an authentic depiction of our desi families and the many nutty, crazy yet warm and genuine plotlines, Aangan is on a must watch list.

Diwakar's (Suchindra Bali)'s father (residing in Amirpur) and Vidya's (Sharbani Mukherjee)'s brother Shiva (Deep Raj Rana) (a resident of Mandaur) decide to get Diwakar and Vidya married. The preparations for the marriage ceremony begin and neither the boy nor the girl knowing what the other looks like. In the meanwhile, the two villages get ready to confront each other in case of a quarrel. The wedding ceremony is underway when the revelry between the two village heads starts and the guns roar. The bride and the groom come separately to the town for studies oblivious of each other. They are happy to escape the brutal world of rural India to find their own careers and future. They first bump into each other in the train while on their way to the town, then in the college, completely unaware of all facts. For Diwakar, its love at first sight, but Vidya doesn't respond to his overtures. Later she packs her bags and heads straight for her village Mandaur. In the meanwhile, Diwakar learns that Vidya is his legally wedded wife and he decides to get her back from the clutches of two warring villages.
